MLK Freebies

It's been a relaxing weekend with no specific plans for the first time in a long time. I managed to see the Mockingjay movie and spent most of it stressed out. It was intense! I've read the book, so it really shouldn't have been such a stressful thing, but it had been a long time and I had forgotten a lot of the storyline.

Sitting down now with some hot chocolate, the pup by my feet, and my plan book to get started on this week's plans. With Martin Luther King, Jr. Day coming up next week, I thought I'd share some MLK freebies that are in my TPT Store. Hopefully they can help with some planning in your class!

Breaking Bad and a MLK Freebie

I recently pulled out my January and February files to do some planning. Don't be too impressed, I never did get to February. And I may have only planned a week or two in January. You know how it goes while on Winter Break...the planbook and files come out, you put on Breaking Bad on Netflix for "background noise" and pretty soon you're four episodes in and nothing is in your planbook.

Anyway, I came across some Martin Luther King Jr. pages I created for my class last year. If you're looking for something to do with your class in honor of Dr. King, these two pages are a freebie in my store!

Just click on the picture to snag them for yourself. And feel free to leave some feedback if you feel so inclined.

Enjoy!

MLK Giveaway

We are back in the swing of things after Winter Break and it almost feels like we never left. I always get nervous that over the break the students are going to forget all of the rules and procedures we've worked so hard to establish the first part of the school year. In actuality, it's usually me that forgets the procedures. Hah. Good thing I have the students there to keep me on my toes.

I can't believe it's almost the middle of January already! This week we are wrapping up some New Year's projects and next week we will be learning about Martin Luther King, Jr. If you're going to be discussing M.L.K. you should head over to Kickin' It in Kindergarten's blog for her MLK Giveaway

She's going to be choosing five winners for her MLK Activity Pack. I especially love the page where the students get to write what their dream for the world is.

Speaking of giveaways, there are only a couple days left to enter my 100 Follower Giveaway! Take a minute or two to check it out, there's 10 fantastic prizes! Just click the image below!

Happy Wednesday!
