August!?! What!?! A little sad summer is ending, but excited to link up with Farley for this month's Currently.
My nail polish addiction is getting close to my lip gloss addiction- out of control! I love my new Essie colors though! |

Back to School Must Haves:
-Fun pens and pencils- Flair pens, Frixion erasable gel pens, mechanical pencils, all a must-have in order to write in my planner!
-My classroom to feel like home- I spend a lot of time there, so my classroom has to be inviting and comfortable for not only my students but me too.
-Comfortable, cute shoes- not sure they exist! Every year I try to find comfortable shoes that also look cute. Shoes that I can stand in all day and not go home with blisters or sore feet. I have yet to find them. Don't get me wrong, I've found shoes that are o.k., but the cute factor is usually missing.
Don't forget to link up with Farley for your August Currently!
I am with you on the search for comfortable cute shoes. I feel likes it's always one or the other. I was looking yesterday, and the only ones I found that were cute and somewhat comfortable were $90! That's just ridiculous for school shoes. Good luck on your search!

I'm with you on the thinking section. I can't believe it's August already either! :)

I wear Aerosoles and I swear they are worth every penny. My hubby said they are old lady looking, but maybe you have better taste than I do :)

Shoes. Yes, where are the cute and sensible shoes? Once I wore shoes in the name of style and came home very sore. Good luck finding the shoes, and be sure to tell us about them once you find them!

I'd love a good mani/pedi too!
ReplyDeleteWhat's Working This Year?
I just bought Essie's Bikini So Teeny too! It is such a neat and unique blue. Check out Naughty Nautical, if you don't already have it. It's an awesome awesome teal/turquoise with silver micro-shimmer. And funny enough...my Wanting is also all about my to-do list. I am not adding anything to it and crossing things off...yet it seems to be just as long as it was when I made it! Grrrrrrrrrr.

Pens and pencils are my faaaavorite!

I usually revert to my Converse. Not so high on the feminine factor but comfortable always. And cute in their own way.
ReplyDeleteI got a couple pairs of Sperry Top Siders when Piperlime was having a sale a couple weeks ago. We'll see if they work. Hopefully. ;)
Love that song! I'm also diggin' the blue polish...maybe I need to make a Target run later. :-)

Growing a Teacher
I own 1 Essie nail polish and it's Bikini So Teeny. It's the only 'bikini' I wear, and I love it. I was initially put off the price of a little bit of Essie but it's really a quality polish (with cool colors).
ReplyDeleteI had to start putting heel pads in my school dress shoes. Being on my feet so much with little padding under my classroom carpet I was starting to feel it (and my age, too?). On Fridays I'll sometimes wear my Chucks or my good comfy sparkly white Nikes. Most Crocs aren't cute...but I have some very comfy mary janes. They also made sandals and cute wedges. So not all are bit plastic shoes.
