Tell Me Something Good

It's almost Friday! Very much looking forward to Friday and a three-day weekend! Wahoo! I'm joining up with Rowdy in First Grade's Tell Me Something Good Linky

Something Good From School: I only have two students left to finish up DIBELS testing with and I'm pretty impressed with the little nuggets' progress! The middle of the year testing is always the one that makes me the most nervous. Don't get me wrong, I see the progress the students make every day. When the student who only was able to read 10 words at the beginning of the year stood up in front of the class and read his journal entry flawlessly it just about brought tears to my eyes. But seeing the numbers in print just makes it that much more fantastic to know you're getting somewhere. They're getting somewhere.

Something Good From Home: This little man came home and I am absolutely over the moon in love with him. His name is Dakota and he's an 8-week old golden retriever. Here he is on his first day home:

He is pretty mellow and is sleeping through the night. I had to wake HIM up this morning. Ridiculousness. He makes me worry and laugh. He tests my patience and is by far the greatest snuggler in the world. He's pretty much the best thing ever. Love that little guy.

Make sure to link up with Rowdy in First Grade and tell me something good!

  3. I am OBSESSED with your signature. SO cute! Those mid-year DIBEL's make me nervous too! It's the timing of them...right after Christmas break, not exactly the best time to test but, that's when you have to do it! Have all my kiddo's to 88% accuracy or better ( and most are in the 90's) which is great considering I had like 5 in the 90% range at the beginning of the year. Thanks for following me. I am following you back. :)
